They patent ideas for a living. For one day, we asked them to just be people.

a story from the field

IP team. One day. Panshet Lake, Pune.

Where it started

An IP team that needed to meet each other.

Lear's IP team spends every day turning concepts into protected innovations. Sharp, analytical, always in their heads. They're good at their work — individually.

What their leadership noticed was simpler: the team hadn't had a chance to actually know each other. Not as colleagues. As people.

They didn't want a conference room with better snacks. They wanted something that would shift something. They called Visamo.

The intention

We didn't plan a day out. We built a journey.

Every Visamo experience starts with one question: what does this team actually need right now?

For the IP team, the answer was connection — real, unhurried, unscripted. So we designed the entire day around a theme: The Inventor's Journey. Every moment mapped to a stage of invention. Nothing was filler. Everything was chosen.

The genesis: 11:00 AM — Arrival at the estate

A private estate. A lake. A moment to breathe.

They arrived at the lakeside estate at Panshet to warm tea, coffee, and the kind of view that makes you forget what day it is.

No briefing. No agenda reveal. Just: welcome, you're here, this is yours.

Treasure hunt: 12:00 PM — The invention lab

Every clue pulled them somewhere they didn't expect.

The estate became a playground. Teams fanned out following a trail of clues — some requiring sharp observation, some a quick solve, some a burst of collective thinking to crack the next step.

The energy built as teams moved faster. Friendly competition surfaced natural leadership. People who'd never collaborated found themselves decoding hints side by side.

The team that came second claimed they would have won if they'd read the third clue more carefully.

What it involved:

  • Smart clues and hidden markers across the property.

  • Sharp observation, quick thinking, teamwork.

  • Playful checkpoints that sparked competition.

  • Visamo gift hamper for the winning team.

Lakeside lunch: 2:00 PM — The recharge

Nothing to do but eat.

A wholesome meal by the water. No agenda, no facilitation. Just food, conversation, and the slow realisation that the morning had already done something to the group dynamic.

Pool time: 3:00 PM — The flow state

One hour. Private pool. Forget the afternoon.

Unstructured. Unplanned. The kind of time that looks like nothing and does everything. Some teams bond in workshops. This one bonded while splashing around and arguing about who had to get out first.

Sunset trek: 4:00 PM — The ascent

Halfway up, something shifted.

The guided trek above Panshet Lake started as an activity. It became something else entirely.

There's a particular moment on a trail — around halfway — when people stop performing. The effort of the climb, the view opening up, the absence of desks and screens. Something loosens.

"By the time we reached the summit, something had already shifted."

Prior art challenge: At the summit — Photo challenge

Seven categories. Two people. Compete.

At the top, teams split into pairs. Seven photo categories — funniest pose, best nature capture, most creative freeze-frame, and four more. Each pair had to capture the most imaginative version of each.

No professional cameras. No direction. Just creativity, collaboration, and competitive energy. The group voted. The pair with the highest votes won. The pair that came second spent the bus ride home questioning the judging process.

Bonfire + IP trivia: 7:00 PM — The spark

A bonfire. A quiz built for exactly this team.

As the sun dropped and the lakeside air cooled, the bonfire was lit.

Then came the IP Trivia Challenge — designed specifically for the Lear team. Not generic quiz questions. Questions built around their world: intellectual property, innovation, the industry they work in every day.

Fast rounds. Smart twists. Rapid-fire answers. Teams competed, argued, and celebrated each clever win. The winners were crowned Innovation Champions. The losers said the questions were unfair.

  • IP-themed quiz built for Lear's team.

  • Fast rounds, smart twists, rapid fire.

  • Winners: Innovation Champions + gift hamper.

Appreciation notes: 8:00 PM — The emotional peak

Anonymous. Handwritten. Real.

After dinner, every person on the Lear team received a handwritten note from a colleague. Anonymous. No prompting on what to write — just: say what you actually think about this person.

People laughed. Some cried. Everyone held onto their letter. This is the part of the day that people remember longest.

"I didn't expect to read something like this from a colleague I'd worked with for two years."

Sky lantern finale: 9:00 PM — The finale

They made a wish. Then they let it go.

Before departure, the group gathered outside. Each person received a sky lantern. Each person made a wish — silently, privately — as their lantern floated upward.

Fourteen lanterns. Fourteen wishes. One shared sky. It's the kind of moment that's hard to describe and impossible to forget.
